«Donskoy Tabak» company is aimed at optimal use of natural resources and lowering of negative impact on environment. That’s why a principle of ecologically safe activity is an underlying principle of the enterprise’s development.
System of ecological management of the «Donskoy Tabak» within the Integrated Management System (IMS) was certified in accordance with ISO standard 14 001:2004.
At present the company is implementing a complex of events on decrease of negative environmental impact of the enterprise in the following directions:
- reduction of polluting agents in sewage discharge;
- reduction of polluting agents in atmospheric discharge;
- decrease of natural resources consumption.
Tasks of environment impact minimization are integrated into the activity of all subdivisions of the enterprise.
A new production complex is equipped with modern equipment using energy-efficient technology. Dust collecting units have the efficiency of 99%. The biggest part of production waste is received for further recycling by special organizations.
The volume of funds spent on implementation of events of environmental protection is growing every year. In 2009 about 3.5 million rubles were sent for these purposes, which is twice more than the similar rate of the previous period.
