The Company's contribution to the popularization of the healthy way of life is its active participation in medical, educational, cultural and sports programs. In 2001 on the World day without tobacco on 31 May the Company stopped production. In 2002 «Donskoy Tabak» together with the Regional Center of Medical Prophylaxis and Children Art Gallery participated in the organization of the children's drawing contest. 35 children participated in the contest. Presented pictures were characterized by the original approach and understanding of necessity to live a healthy way of life. The prize-winners and all the participants got presents from the Company. The project of reconstruction of Revolution Park — one of the central parks of Rostov-on-Don — is part of the Company social policy, aimed at healthy generation and its education. In 2002 they opened an entertainment center «Wonder Planet» in the park. The Company «Donskoy Tabak» invests the project of reconstruction of one of the biggest parks in the city. The entertainment complex is located in the territory of the park zone with the total area 16,7 hectares. In the park there is a reconstructed fountain, 16 new attractions, a restaurant and a cafe. They are still working on the park landscape. In the territory of the park they have regular concerts, contests, festivals and promotional actions. More than 2 million people have visited the «Wonder Planet» since it was opened. In 2004 the State Public Health Institution «Narcological dispensary» in Rostov-on-Don and the Company «Donskoy Tabak» carried out a special action «SMOKING: OPEN CONVERSATION». It was aimed at open dialogue between tobacco products consumers with the specialists, who are involved in questions of smoking consequences. They organized the work of «hot line», the Rostovites had a chance to call and had free of charge telephone consultations with the specialists on the questions control of smoking among children and adults. Medical doctors consulted the Rostovites for 9 hours free of charge. The people were mainly interested in ability to treat the tobacco (smoking) addiction. An average call lasted for 5 minutes. About 70% of those, who called, were men.
